These bread slicers are designed to cut a uniform slice of bread, even warm bread from the oven. Using gentle pressure slice the bread the same thickness as the gap between the stainless steel serrated blade and the handmade wooden handle. The blade never needs sharpening and it will stay sharp for many years. Simply wipe the blade with a damp cloth but be careful, it is very sharp! The blade is stainless steel but try to dry it thoroughly. The knives are designed for making a cut up to 3/4 inches thick. You can cut thinner slices as well but if desired I can custom make your knife to slice a different thickness. Use the customization option or send me a message with your desired thickness.
