Spalted Manitoba maple (boxelder) bowl, tp119

This spalted bowl was hand turned by me from Manitoba maple obtained from a homeowner from Algoma District in northern Ontario. The black lines or spalting, are caused by wood decay fungi. The bowl measures 8 by 3 inches high. It has been treated with a food safe finish. It should be hand washed and treated periodically with a food safe finish.
