This puzzle box is made from spalted beech. The black lines or spalting are caused by wood decay fungi.. The box comes apart to reveal a small drawer where you can store small treasures. The box is approximately 8.5 inches long by 3 inches deep. The small drawer inside the box has a drawer opening of about 1.25 by 1.75 inches.
